Everything is energy. We are all made up of energy. Emotions, feelings, colors, chakras, our environment, music… It is all energy. With the mindset of everything being energy, visualizing and focusing on the release of the lower energy and transmuting it to a high vibration has been effective in healing. There is light and dark in each of us, as there is light and dark in all aspects of the world and universe. We all experience wounds or energy compressions as a result of interactions with others. To foster and increase the light, focus on releasing the energy around the situation. It’s often been stated that “hurt people hurt people.” Finding compassion for the person and releasing the energy frees us and allows us to ascend more gracefully. We all need healing and just like an onion, there is always another layer.
Through our own experiences, we experience the highs and the lows so we can recognize the different aspects and foster appreciation. If we never know heartache and despair, how can we fully appreciate compassion, love and comfort?
Being mindful of our own energy helps us see how we affect and impact others. Being mindful of other’s energy helps us see how their energy impacts us. When we choose to take responsibility for our energy and raise the vibration, it has a ripple effect that positively impacts the people around us. It is a constant practice to be mindful and actively choose the type and quality of energy that we produce and share with others.
Practicing breathwork, yoga, meditation and simply slowing down are excellent ways to develop mindfulness. One of the things that I love is that these practices can be incorporated throughout the day. Whether I am at work sitting in a meeting or in front of the computer, I can take a few moments to focus on my breath. Long slow inhales through my nose, long slow exhales through my nose. I can breath in slowly counting to 4, I exhale slowly counting backwards from 4. I increase the length of the inhales and the exhales. I visualize love filling my body with my inhale, I visualize love radiating out of my body with my exhale. I can incorporate yoga stretch breaks through out my day and I can carve out time in the morning for a daily yoga practice. I can sit and do a traditional meditation or I can go outside and do a walking meditation as I drink in the beauty of the trees, flowers and birds in the neighborhood. As I slow down and develop more awareness, I can see how my energy improves positively impacting all around me and all I do. With every breath, every heartbeat, I have the power of choice and I choose to make it a positive one.
