Daily Angel Oracle Card: Chaos and Conflict, from the Wisdom of the Oracle, by Colette Baron-Reid
Chaos and Conflict: “Disarray; being at cross purposes with another; the tension of opposites; the value of chaos before order.”
The Oracle’s Message: “Opposing forces come together to create a turbulent atmosphere. But consider the value of chaos that serves you well, as you become unmoored by it. Scattered to the winds, you leave behind the parts of yourself that you no longer need and disperse seeds to reinvent yourself anew. Although the conflict appears to exist externally its essence is also internal, projected outward and causing disarray. You may find yourself at cross purposes with someone else, facing a storm you feel you can’t control. Yet every storm passes, and chaos leads to a reordering of things. Conflict provides a way to see more than one side of a situation. Look upon this as just a moment in time when you may need to take shelter and step away from the fray. Do not be too eager to fight. This is a time to understand rather than to be understood.”
Numbers speak to us in different ways. I love the language of numbers and look to it regularly for messages. The number 33 has been a significant number in my life that was primarily associated with a someone from my past. I found it ironic that in the Wisdom of the Oracle deck it is the card for Chaos and Conflict, because the former caused some of the greatest chaos and conflict in my life. However, today I am grateful for the disarray because it was the catalyst for the greatest change which has led to the most beautiful order. The card also addresses a subject I have been exploring more in depth.
The concept is beautifully defined as “the tension of opposites.” Where there is light, there is also a shadow. Everywhere in the Universe we have opposites: the yin and the yang, light and dark, love and fear, rich and poor, abundance and poverty. Two opposing forces, two sides of the coins, and the tension between the two. It is a necessary tension that helps us find balance, an equilibrium between the two forces.
The definition goes on to state “the value of chaos before order.” Chaos before order, let that concept sink in. Often times before our house is in order, it is in utter chaos. The chaos and disarray shakes things up so we can see what it is that we do not want and helps us become more clear on what we do want.
We are at a beautiful time of the year as Spring has begun to shake things up from the dormant sleeping state of Winter so we can find new order. The past year has been a time of Chaos and Conflict that has been felt on a global level. We have had everything shaken up, but I feel as if we are individually beginning to find a sense of order again.
It is perfect time to reflect on what actions can we take to create a better equilibrium, balance and order in each of our own personal lives. As The Wisdom of the Oracle suggests, “leave behind the parts of yourself that you no longer need and disperse seeds to reinvent yourself.” The more we can be mindful to the shifts taking place around us the more we can intentionally create the world we want to live in. It is the perfect time to take a step back from the “fray” and look at things from different perspectives so we can see what needs to be reordered. I know I have been using the chaos and conflict to help me align to who I truly am. I have been shedding and letting go of the crutches that no longer serve my best interest. The more layers I peel back the more I am becoming the most authentic version of me to date. The more I learn to flow and embrace the chaos and conflict, the more I begin to see the beauty that is the dance of life.
