Important Notes about the Author’s Mindset:
When reading this blog, please be aware of my mindset around these six concepts.
- Intention is everything. It is easy to go through the motion of an act. However it has more impact when there is intention behind the action. You can complete a simple task mindlessly, like picking up your room. Or, you can put intention behind making your room look the best it can. The difference is often doing just enough to get by or really making your room look nice. The more we put conscious thought behind our actions, the more positive impact we will have.
- Your own intention is the best intention. Currently on the market you will find every kind of intention you could possibly desire in some form of bottle or product. You can buy products that promise you everything from the perfect body to finding your true love to becoming a millionaire. I firmly believe that we can create our own “magic” and find it empowering to do so.
- You are in charge of your own healing. I saw a quote by Maryam Hasnaa, “A healer does not heal you. A healer is someone who holds space for you while you awaken your inner healer, so that you may heal yourself.” I am sharing with you a collection of tools that I use for my own healing and self-work. I hope that you find some that resonate for you and others that inspire you to find your own path of healing.
- Everyone needs healing. We came to this Earth to learn lessons and none of that can occur without some bumps and bruises along the way. We all incur different levels and degrees of emotional, physical and spiritual wounds during our time here. We all benefit from self-work.
- There is a Higher Power. This is a book that contains spiritual connections and concepts. The references to Higher Power, Spirit, God, or the Universe are meant to be general in nature and open to your own personal definitions.
- There is no such thing as coincidence. A wise old man, Blacky, who was a teacher of mine, often reminded me that “Everything is God.” He would follow it up with the question, “So is it coincidence or God?” And then he would remind me of the first statement that Everything IS God. Whether you call it God, Higher Power, Spirit or some other name it does not matter; the concept is the same. As you begin to see how everything is interconnected, it is easier to understand how there are no coincidences. Everything is God, part of the Universe, made from Spirit out of energy, and it is all connected.
